October 21st, 2021 – (BMV: AGUA*) Miranda ESG reiterates its views on Rotoplas’s key ESG achievements, opportunities, and risks. While this quarter’s developments are clearly positive and welcome, they don’t materially chance the status quo on material topics yet. We would still like to see a more robust set of KPIs to monitor quantifiable progress. Having said that, the improvement on MSCI’s rating shows the company is taking steps in the right direction.
3 report highlights:
- Rotoplas received an MSCI ESG rating review, where it improved from BB to BBB, as well as the ESR (or Socially Responsible Company) distinction once again for its Peru operation.
- The company participated in the United Nation’s Global Compact Target Gender Equality, an accelerator program which supports participants in setting and reaching corporate targets on gender equality.
- The company concluded the selection process for five projects through which over 120 rainwater collection systems will be donated. The company estimates this will provide 730,000 liters of water to the benefitted communities in Mexico.
Additionally, Miranda Global Research (MGR) published its financial coverage of AGUA* for the third quarter of 2021. Both reports are part of the independent analyst coverage.
